TAAP Team Qualifications for 2025

Do you need to be a part of the TAAP team? There are 3 different routes to get invited to join the TAAP team for 2025.

Route 1: TAAP National Powerlifting open 2024 (Recommended)

Athlete total needs to match the minimum requirement of the qualifying totals 2024 which can be found in this following link. (TAAP Qualifying Totals 2024)
There are two different tiers of international qualification. Tier 2 - Asia pacific and Tier 1 - Worlds for Classic and Bench press. The qualifying totals will be reviewed yearly.
Athletes need to be TAAP members to compete 2024.

Route 2: Past TAAP total

Athlete who has a total that matches the minimum requirement of the qualifying totals 2024. He/She can apply their totals which has been done domestically or internationally within 2024 to become the national team. However, in the event that His/Her qualifying totals are lower or equal to an athlete who has qualified by competing in the TAAP Invitational Championship 2025 the athlete/s who have qualified in the national competition will have the priority in getting an invitation to the international competition.
Athletes need to be the TAAP member 2024.

Route 3: TAAP Special Invitation (Sub juniors, Junior and Master I-IV)

The route is not applicable to Open Athletes.
If an athlete is competitive in some lifts for instance, He/She can get the medal in Deadlift. But his/her totals are below the minimum requirement of the qualifying totals 2024. The TAAP team head coach MAY decide to choose who is suitable to join the international competition.
Athletes need to be the TAAP member 2024.

Athletes who qualify to the national team will be sent the invitation to international competition which is considered by the coaching team. Moreover, an athlete can request for the competitions which he/she would like to join.
