IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championship 2023 in Valletta, Malta. - Report



Summary of Thai athletes' competition results:

  1. Mr. Kasemsand Senumong achieved 5th place out of 16 competitors in the under 66-kilogram weight class. He received a bronze medal in the Deadlift category with scores of 235 kilograms in Squat, 142.5 kilograms in Bench Press, and 280 kilograms in Deadlift, resulting in a total score of 657.5 kilograms.

Kasemsand currently holds the world record for the total score in the 66-kilogram open class with a score of 710.5 kilograms. He also held the world record for the Deadlift in the 66-kilogram class with 300 kilograms, achieved at the Asian Championship in 2565 (2022) before it was surpassed by Bryan Lee from the United States with a lift of 300.5 kilograms.

  1. Mr. Eric Smulders ranked 10th out of 16 competitors in the under 66-kilogram weight class. He scored 217.5 kilograms in Squat, 145 kilograms in Bench Press, and 247.5 kilograms in Deadlift, resulting in a total score of 610 kilograms.

  2. Mr. Sean Isomura Gillard ranked 34th out of 39 competitors in the under 93-kilogram weight class. He scored 245 kilograms in Squat, 180 kilograms in Bench Press, and 287.5 kilograms in Deadlift, resulting in a total score of 712.5 kilograms.

  3. Mr. Ryan Kicker ranked 16th out of 39 competitors in the under 93-kilogram weight class. He scored 285 kilograms in Squat, 175 kilograms in Bench Press, and 310 kilograms in Deadlift, resulting in a total score of 770 kilograms.

  4. Mr. Daniel Kemmick ranked 22nd out of 25 competitors in the under 120-kilogram weight class. He scored 245 kilograms in Squat, 165 kilograms in Bench Press, and 300 kilograms in Deadlift, resulting in a total score of 710 kilograms.

  5. Miss Nour Al Jundi ranked 14th out of 16 competitors in the under 47-kilogram weight class. She scored 110 kilograms in Squat, 82.5 kilograms in Bench Press, and 122.5 kilograms in Deadlift, resulting in a total score of 315 kilograms.

  6. Mrs. Sara Soto Guzman ranked 18th out of 18 competitors in the under 63-kilogram weight class. She scored 110 kilograms in Squat, 65 kilograms in Bench Press, and 160 kilograms in Deadlift, resulting in a total score of 335 kilograms.

Sara currently holds the world record for the Deadlift in the 63-kilogram Master 2 class with a lift of 176 kilograms, achieved at the Asian Championship in 2565 (2022) in the United Arab Emirates.
